Yes. With an ITIN (the number you use to file taxes) you can buy a home in Texas. ITIN loans usually require 10-20% down and 2 years of tax returns. I work with lenders who close them every day.
What is TSAHC and how does it help with my down payment?
The Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation provides down-payment assistance (grants or forgivable second liens) to income-qualified buyers. Combined with an FHA loan, it can drastically cut what you need saved.
How long does buying my first home take?
